I received a joke today from a Pagan newsletter list.  After I read it I was first, sad, then I became angry.  I won’t repeat the joke here, but it basically insinuates that Christians have their eyes closed and the ever “enlightened” Pagans eyes are wide open.

It’s jokes like these that only serve to put a bigger wedge between Christians and Pagans, and, I’m ashamed that the Pagan community finds it ‘okay’ to email these types of jokes to a Pagan Newsletter list with the name of “Daily Pagan Devotionals”.  I find it difficult to understand how a joke like that could in any way, help Pagans with their devotional activities and attitudes.

Do most Pagans not pride themselves on their view that all paths are correct for each individual?  Do they not boast their acceptance and love for others?

How sad, that today, to find closed-minded, unaccepting, critical, hypocritical, fundy thinking, Pagans only have to look as far as their own backyard.
